MEET JESS AND HOLLY

Hi, I'm Jess Schwarz!
I'm a certified, bonded and insured pet care professional serving Suffield, Connecticut and the surrounding towns.
In 2015 I graduated from Becker College with a bachelor's degree in veterinary science and a minor in equine studies. In the same year, I passed the national examination to become a certified veterinary technician. Throughout my education, I had the opportunity to intern at small and large animal veterinary hospitals, a local zoo and several equine facilities (see my "resume" below for more info).
Ongoing education is something I value highly, so in 2020 I completed the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) certification course. I'm certified in pet first aid and CPR through ProPetHero and Rutgers Pet Care School. Most recently, I enrolled in the Fear Free Veterinary Certification Program in an effort to help reduce fear, anxiety and stress in the pets I care for.
I had the privilege of growing up surrounded by animals who taught me many valuable life lessons (like a cat who was practically a big brother and a stubborn Appendix Quarter horse named Hercules). My two dogs, Athena and Ares, remind me daily to love unconditionally, take time to relax and not take life so seriously. Reflecting on them has inspired me to serve the pets and humans of my community in the best way I can. Whether they have hooves, claws, paws, scales, feathers or fur, caring for your pet is my honor and passion.

Hi, I'm Holly Fox!
I've been a full-time Tail Co. team member since December 2022, but I've been caring for pets my entire life. I have experience with a variety of animals, from chameleons to horses. I have a soft spot for cats, however, and recently adopted my two kittens, Bean and Chai.
I'm pet first aid and CPR certified through PetProHero and I'm comfortable administering a variety of medications.
